Buying the latest game console

Microsoft and Sony are releasing the latest versions of their game consoles this November (they are already available for pre-order). Microsoft will be releasing the Xbox series X and Xbox series S on November 10. And Sony will be releasing the Playstation 5 and Play 5 Digital Edition on November 12. I, personally, have not pre-ordered yet because I’m still deciding between getting the Xbox series X or the Play Station 5.

Historically, I’ve always gotten Xbox’s. I was gifted the Xbox 360, the first Microsoft console. Then later on I bought the Xbox One 1TB version and have blissfully enjoyed playing games on this console to this day. Along the way I’ve played various versions of the Play Station at friend’s houses, but I never excelled because the narrow controller was not a good fit for my hands. However, this is changing for the Play Station 5 and Play Station 5 Digital Edition; the controller for this next generation of consoles is very similar in shape to the Xbox controllers. With that said, I may finally get a Play Station because the controller will fit well in my hand.

In case you might be interested in getting the latest console from Microsoft or Sony in November, here are the listed MSRP prices without sales tax:

Xbox Series S: $299

Xbox Series X: $499

Play Station 5 Digital Edition: $499.99

Play Station 5: $399.99
